1-2-1 Classes: Tai Chi // Chi Kung // Hsing I
One-to-one lessons are ideal for students who are eager to learn forms and make progress quickly. Much of my own learning took place on a one-to-one basis. I trained at the home of two of my principle teachers, in Canada and Taiwan. Staying at their homes, I practised daily and benefited from observing demonstrations and asking questions as we worked together over periods of one to two months. Appreciating that not everyone can take time out for such intensive training, I offer flexible ongoing one-to-one hourly sessions spaced to suit you (e.g. weekly, fortnightly or monthly).
My approach is to tailor sessions to individual students; speed of progress is very dependent on the diligence and skill of the student and one-to-one classes provide an excellent opportunity to receive high quality tuition to maximise your development in your chosen subject(s).

I offer one to one lessons in central Cambridge making use of the city's many outdoor spaces.
Fees
£50 per hour. Fees can be paid by cash, cheque or bank transfer in advance or at each session - discounts negotiable for regular students and block bookings e.g discounts available to those attending weekly group classes (£45) or for regular attenders of both weekly and weekend group classes (£40).

- Hsing I is very simple but not quick to learn. Private classes are very valuable to students who work hard between classes.
- Chi Kung is a good candidate for private tuition since physical adjustments are a significant part of the learning process and you will be the only student.
- Tai Chi's relatively elaborate movements can be acquired quickly in private lessons and techniques refined through one to one adjustments.
